Dr. Alice Y. Zhang is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in medical disorders of the retina and vitreoretinal surgery. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Computational Biology from Carnegie Mellon University.
Dr. Zhang completed her residency at Henry Ford Hospital. Then she completed training at a 2-year fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at the University of Virginia.
Dr. Zhang has published multiple peer-reviewed papers, presented at numerous national conferences, and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retinal Specialists, and Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
Her expertise includes diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, vein occlusions, retinal tears and detachments, macular holes and epiretinal membranes, and lens dislocations. She performs laser eye surgery in addition to medical management.
