Dr. Stevanovic is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in cataract, cornea, and refractive surgery. She provides comprehensive medical and surgical eye care, with a focus on advanced treatments for corneal and ocular surface diseases, personalized dry eye management, and vision correction.

Her surgical expertise includes full- and partial-thickness corneal transplantation, including DMEK and DSAEK, as well as laser-assisted cataract surgery with advanced-technology intraocular lens implantation.

Dr. Stevanovic believes in taking the time to understand each patient’s unique visual needs and goals, providing thoughtful, individualized care to help patients achieve their best possible vision. She personally sees each of her surgical patients at every postoperative visit, ensuring continuity of care throughout their recovery.

Education and Awards

Dr. Stevanovic graduated with Honors in Anatomy and Cell Biology at McGill University, where she also earned a Master of Science, conducting research on the development of photoreceptors, the light-sensitive cells in the retina responsible for vision.

She earned her medical degree from Albany Medical College, where she received the Ophthalmology Achievement Award and the Robert D. Reinecke Prize for Research in Ophthalmology.

Dr. Stevanovic completed her ophthalmology residency at Albany Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident. During her training, she received the Resident Recognition Award in 2024, based on hospital-wide evaluations, and was named Ophthalmology Resident of the Year by the Department of Veterans Affairs in both 2024 and 2025. At the conclusion of her residency, she was awarded the prestigious Dr. Cetner Eye Resident Award by the ophthalmology faculty in recognition of her overall excellence in ophthalmology.

Dr. Stevanovic subsequently completed a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at Albany Medical Center.
